The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron are taking the America’s Cup, the oldest trophy in international sport, on a national tour of the regions to give as many New Zealanders the chance to see the trophy in person. GOfuel team members have been assisting Whakatane District Council in coordinating and providing fuel, equipment and lubes to the ‘once in 500-year flood’ afflicted areas of Edgecumbe. All spare trailer tanks, and any available from customers, have been deployed to provide a readily available supply of diesel to the pumping units and earthmoving machinery in the township. Yesterday (11th April) GOfuel sourced a rental 1000 ltr cube and this has been deployed via helicopter to remote and cut-off areas south of Murupara.
